Make Your First Sale

Use this guide to confirm the POS is ready for live transactions.

Goal

Complete a sale from the POS using stocked products.

Where to go

Open:

  • Sales

Before you start

Make sure:

  • at least one store exists
  • products are created
  • stock is available in the selected store
  • the user has access to the store

Steps

  1. Open the Sales page.
  2. Confirm the correct store is selected.
  3. Add one or more products to the cart.
  4. Review quantities and totals.
  5. Choose the payment method.
  6. Complete the sale.
  7. Review the receipt or sale confirmation.

Expected result

After the sale:

  • the sale is recorded
  • inventory reduces for sold items
  • the transaction appears in sales lists and reports

Good practice

  • Start with a simple test sale
  • Verify totals before confirming payment
  • Check reports afterward to confirm the transaction was captured
